Helen I will endure a lifelong pursuit to experience amazing computer, web, mobile, and cloud technologies. I started building websites in 5th grade to display my artwork on a stage with potentially boundless audiences. As a double major in Computer Science and Economics at Wellesley College, I concentrated my CS studies in interface and user experience design while maintaining a broad and interdisciplinary curriculum. My dream is to make the world a better place by supporting awesome web technologies that enhance the way we live, express ourselves, and share with each other.

Davis Museum Project
The Davis Museum Project: an interactive museum experience

The Davis Museum is a hub of artistic and cultural opportunity at Wellesley College, granting community members firsthand access to world-class art. As we researched the emergent techniques of enhancing experiences and cutting-edge implementations in other museums, my team used Visual C# and XML to develop this Microsoft Surface application for use in the lobby of Wellesley's Davis Museum. The application strives to enhance visitors' creative and social experience in the museum by introducing art and inspiring commentary with the help of seamless, gestural interactions.

My developer blog, which focuses on my research in novel human-computer interactions and my work on the Davis Museum Project, a Microsoft Visual Surface Application, from September 2009 to December 2009. In my blog entries, I reflect upon academic publications in HCI and apply their concepts to tangible user interfaces. I also document the design and implementation of the DavisTUI application.
